Accountants, can have a life. When I was an accountant for a large ambulance service in Southern CA all I could think about was a life any life outside of accounting and corporate America. I was working long hours, not enough pay, a lot of responsibility and the agony related to all the stress. Any of this sound familiar?
I got out of California and moved east and wouldn't you know it, to start my own accounting service for small business owners. Go ahead laugh, I am. I wound up creating the same scenario no time for my family, friends or for myself. Needless to say I was broke, tired and disillusioned and wanted out again. Plus, I wanted more, "
much more out of life". As a baby boomer I felt it was time to enjoy life not living in a vicious daily drudge of the accounting cycle with taxes and monthly P&L reporting that became a monotonous boring existence for me.
I was 55 years old and I did not have my retirement secured yet which started to put more pressure on my bleak situation. Heck, I am a baby boomer who just wanted to start living life to the fullest and have a lot fun doing it. No, not mid-life crises I prefer to call it mid-life awakening to the fact that it was time to live. And I had to ask myself if not now when!
Now I work along side multiple 6 & 7 figure income earners creating a life I envisioned for myself and my family. So, fellow (bean counter) accountant if you truly want to start feeling what it's like to live life on the other side review this page and leave your information below.
Oh, this is the hardest step the rest is easy.
